March Market Wrap

Updated: Apr 11, 2022

Saturday we went to the venue to prep for the market. The sudden downpour overnight had left the already waterlogged grounds pooling in various places and across paths. Uh-oh...

We went back to the drawing board and redid the layouts Saturday night over a glass of wine at our makeshift office table to make sure our stallholders didn't get bogged and visitors could safely make their way around as they shopped.

A quick trip to Bunnings (safety tape & ground spikes) and Kmart (gumboots as the fabric shoes I'd brought weren't going to cut it) ensued.

We crossed our fingers for dry weather and enough warmth to dry things out a bit and the Sunday weather gods were kind. Phew !

The day was lovely. Filled with much smiling, laughter and chatter. Friends and family enjoying some much needed downtime and spending precious moments at each stall learning the stories behind them.

There were many characters around us. Some human and others of the animal variety but all adding to the enjoyment of the day.

The kids activity table was back and the some of the littlies were feeling very creative indeed. Maybe they are some of our future artists and creatives in the making.

After they had released their creative energies with playdoh, there were entertained by Alessandro, our regular magician though he is anything but regular. Kids of ALL ages were left marvelling at his mastery of illusion. He had us all totally bamboozled. It was lovely to hear the 'ooooohs and aaaaahs' as he showed off his skills.

It was a long day, a tiring day, a happy day, a sunny day, and yet another Great day at That Great Market.
